The 1st April 2014 heralded the beginning of a new career average pension scheme which all members of the Local Government Pension Scheme automatically joined.
Members can find out more on www.lgps2014.org. A raft of awaited Secretary of State Guidance was issued over recent weeks and can be viewed at the LGPS regulations website.
